St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® is changing what's possible for kids with cancer and has been since 1962. Here's what makes their work unlike anything else:
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus entirely on helping their child live.
When St. Jude opened, childhood cancer was considered largely incurable. Today, St. Jude has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80%.
Treatments developed at St. Jude have helped raise survival rates dramatically — from just 4% to 94% for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and from 10% to 85% for brain tumors.
St. Jude serves every child, regardless of race, ethnicity, beliefs or ability to pay.
In many countries, 1 out of 5 children diagnosed with cancer will survive. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, no matter where they live.
